The bride’s parent’s home was decked out with balloons and banners when I arrived in the morning of Danni and Simon’s wedding. There was a special feeling in the air inside and the reaction of Danni’s father to seeing her daughter in her wedding outfit was really touching.

It was a second time this year for me at the Manor house and as I took in the scene Simon admitted that there seemed too much to think about to relax during the lead-up to the wedding. A feeling I remember well from my wedding day.

Danni arrived fairly promptly in her amazing Rolls – one of the most original examples I had ever seen. The sun blazed down on us as she gathered with her two grown up bridesmaids in brown dresses and bright pink gerberas, not to mention her little bridesmaid who looked very composed and pretty.

The service turned out to be a very emotional affair as one of the bridesmaids choked back the tears during a reading, with words spoken from her heart. We all got going including the registrar and yours truly who were wiping away the tears.

Later as the wedding progressed I took the bride and groom away over the field to the hay bales for some classic portraits in the sun.
